Fashion X Architecture

A couple of weeks ago, I’ve came across this article talking about one of the last projects done by Zaha Hadid. If you didn’t know, Zaha Hadid was an Iraqi-born British architect & she was the first Arab woman who received the Pritzker Architecture Prize, winning it in 2004.

What draw me into reading this article? Well besides the fact that she is one of my favourite architects, the keyword “fashion” in the title caught my eye. Soon I’ve found out that she has designed a collection of silver jewellery for Danish design house Georg Jensen.

Something that I love is creating art by combining different ways of expressivity – for example this project.

If you like geometric forms, geometry or “raw” looking pieces like I do, you’ll love this collection & because I know that not everybody can get their hands on these, I’ve searched for some similar options (that are going to be listed down below).

“Our challenge was to translate that into something that can be worn; to reinterpret the rich history and tradition of Georg Jensen’s design approach into something new.” – Zaha H.
